点评：Hawkeye Point is the highest point in Iowa; however, it is neither high nor challenging to reach. While you drive to it and walk within 100 level feet to reach it, Iowa has at least made it fun. Of the 10 high points I have reached, Iowa is the most artistic and festive. In fact it has an entire outdoor museum and even a selfie station for those solo travelers like me. It is not the hike of Guadalupe Mountain in Texas or even Black Mesa in Oklahoma, but once you reach it, it really is the one that delivers the best experience at the site. Kansas is fun but not nearly as well designed and celebrated.
As you drive through the cornfields of NW Iowa on Highway 60 less than 2.5 miles to Minnesota, you will see as small rise capped by flags and a silo. This is Hawkeye Point and Iowa has done a great job embracing it.
