Forest Dunes Golf Club的点评
点评：This is a difficult review to write. First the positives. Forest Dunes is a really nice course. Terrific layout and the course was in tip-top shape. And if you haven’t settled your bets after 18 holes, there is a nineteenth hole for the tiebreaker. The Loop courses are a links style layout. Very interesting to play the course forward and backwards. The greens are very fast with lots of undulations. Any 2-putt score is an accomplishment. There is a 10-hole par 3 course called The Bootlegger. There is music playing on the course as you try to play a round of golf with only three clubs. And shoes are optional! There is also a great practice facility which includes an 18 hole putting course. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food services were all very good. I would like to strongly recommend the onion rings, best I’ve ever had.

The gnats and black flies are a major issue here. Sprays and lotions are ineffective. The Loop courses are almost unplayable. While you are putting, the gnats are flying into your nose and ears. They are terrible! And it only seems to be a problem here. We played two other courses nearby (Quest and Nightmare) and never saw a flying insect. Very disappointing.
Even with all the pluses at Forest Dunes, the gnats are too big a negative to overcome. For that reason, I cannot recommend Forest Dunes golf for your next golf trip.
