Excellent Portuguese cooking class in Tavira
Taste Algarve - Day Lessons的点评
点评：We, a couple who enjoy cooking and gardening, attended a cooking class hosted by Ines at Monte do alamo.We started at the market to buy fresh ingredients for our dishes. We then moved to the farm. If you don't have a car you can Uber. We were staying in town however other class participants said they were staying at the farm and you can walk to town in about 20 minutes. We toured the working farm and saw almond,figs,olive and medronho trees. We toured the garden where tomatoes, chard,leek ,melon,herbs,peppers,eggplant and pollinator flowers were gowing at this time of year. We worked in a professional kitchen with Ines to prepare an appetizer, main and dessert. The lunch we prepared was served with Rustic bread and a lovely white wine from the Duoro valley. It was flavourful and plenty. We could not finish it all! The view from our outdoor patio to Tavira was spectacular. The test of a great meal was met. When we came home we fell into a deep food coma and did not eat dinner this night. This was a 5 hour adventure. We also had the pleasure of meeting the friendly farm dogs Canela and Tofu (sp). Mariana who was the contact for the class was also there. We also met Rosario,mom. Staff here are lovely. We were given a Taste Algarve shopping bag. Thanks for the memories.
