Stunning views, professionally guided history tour and Devonshire tea! Perfect!

点评：My husband and I enjoyed the Dome Promenade Tour with Devonshire Tea very much! We were fortunate enough to visit on a beautiful late autumn day and saw the amazing colours in the gorgeous trees and gardens surrounding the Exhibition Building itself. The views from the Dome Promenade are stunning, and we eagerly looked for other landmarks around the city.
Matthew, our tour guide and his assistant were knowledgeable and shared the history of the building and significant events, explained the paintings and latin phrases adorning the interior of the dome, and shared interesting stories that took us back in time to imagine events like the Federation ceremony in 1901.
Devonshire tea was served in the Museum Cafe and the scones were hot and beautifully presented. After enjoying our scones, jam and cream we decided to spend a couple of hours exploring the museum. We remember when the museum opened in the early 2000's and were museum members with our 3 young children for many years. Our children are all grown up now, and it was a delight to see other young families enjoying the museum in 2025. I fondly stared at Phar Lap who is a dear old friend, since I began visiting him on school trips from country victoria in the 1970's when he stood in the Old Museum site at the back of the State Library. He hasn't aged as I have!
So glad we decided to enjoy this delightful experience and encourage others to do so as well.
