点评：This was absolutely a highlight of a recent trip to Broken Hill. I could have spent so much more time there. The two gentlemen who conducted the tour - Larry and ‘Ducky’ (ex-miners) were both so knowledgeable explaining the history of mining and the way the museum’s structure resembles a mine and the dioramas which are incredibly detailed only add to the experience. The hundreds of artworks all done by Kevin White using crushed local rocks and minerals are worth the visit on their own. There is a section showing how these were made which makes you appreciate them even more. This museum is also very accessible and has seating throughout. The doll collection by the original owner’s wife is also outstanding.
I would go as far as to say if you have limited time in Broken Hill and could only visit one or two attractions this one should definitely be on your list. Entry fee at the time of my visit was $12.50 for an adult which was more than reasonable.
