龙脊梯田的点评
点评：Longji Rice Terraces are today the unbelievably sad remains of a once incredibly beautiful place entirely destroyed (with no traces of authenticity or natural peace or beauty left) by a tourist city built with the sole purpose of enhancing a mass tourism that is completely out of proportions with what can actually be experienced. What defines the atmosphere in the area are the countlesstourist souvenir shops, photographers harassing you aiming at selling photos of what the place once was, tourists in fake look-like-tribal-person-clothes, a "local show" that proves to be the worst fake theatre history has seen (and costs a completely out-of-proportions amount of money)- there is NOTHING authentic or tribe-like about the show - it is just a fake money-making-machine with bad actors. The terraces are still beautiful but the horrible cable car and mass tourism as well as the commercial atmosphere makes it hard to enjoy.
If you want to "cross it off your list" go - if you want to see beautiful rice teracces and enjoy the peace of nature go somewhere else.
