-love coming to walk around the extensive grounds
Garden always lovely and lots of interesting plants, fruit and vegetables tended by super, hardworking volunteers.
Great coffee and food at the Stables- not cheap but lovely coffee, fresh tasty sandwiches and cakes.
Cons-
The farm- we loved going when our children were younger have some great memories of feeding animals, watching butter being made etc. It’s a while since our last visit and we were amazed at having to pay £10 each-!no concessions for National Trust members as we were informed that the farm is now council run as the National Trust had failed to finance the farm?! As previous reviews state we walked around in quarter of an hour, no activities, weary animals (not many), there was a notice board near car park informing people about newly hatched chicks- but there were none! Families- expensive day- very little to see!
