点评：The gardens are wonderful and immaculately kept, but day was spoilt by a level of "nickel and diming" that is up there with a budget airline. I had been warned in advance that even as a National Trust member we had to pay for parking, but I was not expecting £9 to be forced passed lots of empty rows into row z. However my real complaint is that we walked all the way to the farm (train £3 per person each way) only to find out THERE that National Trust members had to pay £10 each (8 for children). Given we only had 30 mins I was not willing to pay this. Nowhere on the many signs for the farm was this fact or the level of entrance fee made clear. Subsequent study of the map revealed this fact somewhat obscurely stated in a footnote. Obviously many parents will give way to screaming children after a long walk and the promise of a fram, but an honest management team would not rely on this and instead have clear messaging at the car park. In short National Trust Members should prepare either to pay around an additional 25% of annual membership or be disappointed.
