Crystal Kingdom Museum的点评
点评：For a total gem-geek like myself, Crystal Kingdom was a priceless treasure to find that I could have spent hours in admiring the small but remarkable and unique collection of specimens that have all been locally excavated from long extinct volcanic activities.
Some of the notably most memorable being the Zeolites, or “breathing stones” of which they have a large assortment of Stellerite crystals that are found in only 2 places in the world and we can thank an extremely slow cooling lava flow for these precious beauties.
Crystal Kingdom also hosts amazing specimens of Heulandite and can proudly boast some of the largest and most colourful heulandite crystals in the world, something too easily at risk of being overlooked by the seemingly 'small' collection without all the entertaining bells and whistles. A true treat!
The fossils were amazing too and the gift shop was good value for the items available (white onyx chess set I'm coming back for you!) but personally for me the gems won me over.
I do think to gain maximum benefit from this collection, you'd be best having a genuine interest and some understanding of crystals - or at least a longing to learn. I'm not sure how long little kiddies would be occupied for but this nearly 40 yr old one had a ball!
