Ten Thousand Waves的点评
点评：My wife recently visited Ten Thousand Waves in early August ’25. I booked a private soaking room for us and a massage. When we arrived, we checked in and received our kimonos and an attendant walked us around and explained how everything worked. It was a lot of information to digest, but we didn’t have any problems. We went into the changing room to get undressed and into our kimonos and slippers. As others have mentioned, it is co-ed but has small/private changing rooms and showers.
We were then shown to our private hot tub, the Shin Kobuta. It was an outdoor space with large, but shallow hot tub and small and VERY COLD plunge pool. It had a private restroom and shower room on one side, and a dry sauna on another. I did about 10 minutes in there and tried the cold plunge, but it was still too cold to totally submerge. One side of the Sin Kobuta is completely open to the wilderness. It was great to just stare out into nature and not see one single person even. What I enjoyed best was to sit in the hot tub for about 10 minutes then lay in the lounger where the dry, August wind actually felt great! The 90 minutes flew by. I would totally recommend this!
We headed back downstairs to the massage lobby. My wife was led to her massage room, and I was led to another. She said her massage was the best she’s ever had. Her therapist found knots, she didn’t even know she had. Mine was good but was hoping she would work on a few of my knots. She either didn’t find them, or they disappeared.
We did not visit the Grand Bath, the restaurant or the hotel so I can’t review those. It’s not cheap, but I recommend it even if just for the experience.
