If all shops were like this, then our high streets would be thriving...!!!
Simply Books的点评
点评：Wow! Blown away! I popped in, during Bramhall Festival (28/6/25), as I knew that new owners had taken over a while back (in March 2024). Things are beautifully laid out: tidy, yet very, very inviting, and tasteful!! On the front window there were notices of at least 6 great events/speakers in the next few weeks - lunchtimes, evenings, signings, talks - I look forward to getting along a.s.a.p. to one of them.
Upstairs, there is a stunning event area - with comfy seating, a large alcove (where you can have a pot of tea, and a yummy cake, from the selection downstairs, from their mini in-house café area!) The books upstairs are mainly non-fiction - travel, cookery, arts, biography, but there are also some bright and cheery modern fiction displays to browse... (There is also a VERY POSH LOO!!)
Downstairs, there is a whole wall for children's and young people's fiction - bright and tempting. Middle displays, and the other wall of modern fiction, poetry and classic literature.
The greetings cards and gift ideas, in the back corridor, are very high quality, and inspirational.
I enjoyed an iced latte, with oat milk, and took away a slice of carrot cake - both REALLY good!
My visit was rounded off by a lovely, lovely chat with the current co-owner, Karen (who runs the place, with her son; and very attentive, helpful staff)! We discovered that we had both been teachers, in our second careers, and were now working still to benefit education, in a wider context... I believe Simply Books has grown their links with schools even more, since the change in ownership.
I cannot wait to be back - I think I have found a new, guilty-pleasure coffee spot too!!
This shop deserves to do so well - bright, welcoming, friendly, helpful, smart, community-minded. They can order anything you need or want. A real local emporium of books, cake, coffee, cards, community, events...

楼下有一整面墙都是儿童和青少年小说——色彩鲜艳，令人心动。中间的展品和另一面墙则摆放着现代小说、诗歌和古典文学作品。
后走廊里的贺卡和礼物创意都非常优质，而且很有启发性。
我享用了一杯加燕麦奶的冰拿铁，还带走了一块胡萝卜蛋糕——两样都非常美味！
我的这次访问以与现任合伙人凯伦（她和儿子一起经营这家书店，员工们也非常细心、乐于助人）的一次愉快的交谈圆满结束！我们发现，我们都曾是教师，这是他们的第二职业，现在我们仍然致力于在更广泛的领域为教育事业贡献力量……我相信，自从易主以来，Simply Books 与学校的联系更加紧密了。
我迫不及待地想再来——我想我也找到了一家新的、让人心动的咖啡馆！！
这家书店值得拥有如此美好的体验——明亮、热情、友好、乐于助人、时尚、有社区意识。他们可以为你订购任何你需要或想要的东西。一个真正的本地商场，汇集书籍、蛋糕、咖啡、卡片、社区、活动……
