Poor selection of the hotel in Rome/Negligence

点评：I booked my 12 day tour of Italy through Wingbuddy.com. It was provided by Carrani tours. The tour was going very well until my luggage was stolen from the luggage storage room at the outdated hotel in Rome, Santa Costanza, that has been selected by the Carrani tours as its main hotel in Rome. This hotel has no security, no video recordings/no CCTV. This hotel was not able to keep my luggage safe: it was very negligent.
Per strong recommendations of the Carrani tours tour guide, I left my carry-on luggage in the storage room behind the reception desk. Later I found out that it’s a usual practice by Carrani Tours guides to recommend to leave luggage in this unlocked storage room. Nobody in this hotel keeps this room locked and/or tracks the luggage stored in this room.
Our tour group returned back to the hotel in the afternoon of Sun 24 Aug 2025. My luggage was nowhere to be found. The AirTag from my luggage was pinging in the remote parking lot populated by homeless Gypsies. I requested compensation from the hotel but have not heard anything from the hotel manager.
