点评:Me (19) and my brothers (17) decided to write this from the perspective of teenage amateur climbers with info that we wish we would have known before we did it. We set off from imlil in the morning, rlly lovely scenic route. Don’t worry about bringing too much kit as the mules take a lot up the mountain everyday. Once your kit is on the mule, you won’t see it until you’re up at the base camp but rest assured that it will be there waiting for you. However you will need a small rucksack to carry with water, snacks, painkillers( you will feel the effects of altitude sickness and lack of oxygen) and sunblock ( I applied it multiple times a day and still got blister burns on my ears and a burnt face ) You need to bring your passport with you as you stop at the entrance to the national park to have the police check them for some reason. the entire walk up to base camp was completely up hill, not a single flat or downhill section. Me and my brothers do alot of sport and have good fitness anyway but I cannot stress how hard we found this, especially on day 2, I would rlly reccomend that you be of very good fitness and strength. We stopped for lunch after walking for about an hour and a bit, they gave us some rice, goat, and some diced up random veg so if your a fussy eater like me then I would rlly rlly suggest bringing your own food. it took us 5 hours to reach base camp. Their is no signal whilst walking but at the camp there’s 2 bars of 4G in random places. once there we got given dinner which was popcorn and biscuits and then some tagine, they provide hot water so you can bring boil in the bag food. you will not get any sleep as you are in dorms of around 20 with loud snoring and people getting up at various times in the night so bring ear plugs or something like that. we set off at 5:30, it was freezing, hats and thick gloves were needed, crampons also as there was still alot of snow and ice. It took us 4 hours to reach the top, it was extremely steep and scrambling was required, however the views at the top were stunning. I would also recommend bringing poles, we did not but every other person had them and they would have rlly helped.
