点评：My wife and I took the ‘Walking in Georgia O’Keeffe’s Footsteps Tour’ at Ghost Ranch for my birthday in January and it was truly an experience we will never forget. Our guide, Susan, provided a perfectly balanced tour that felt like an immersive art history lesson and gorgeous nature hike in one.
As we navigated the breathtaking landscape that inspired O’Keeffe for decades, Susan shared deep insights into the artist’s life and the history of the ranch with incredible ease. It was so gratifying to be able to see the printout examples of O’Keeffe’s paintings and have those exact locations pointed out to us in real life.
The 2-hour walk was comfortable for everyone; Susan kept a great pace through the arroyos (which are sandy washes that help preserve the environment by not leaving our footprints!). The trail is mostly flat, but definitely bring proper footwear, sun protection, and a bottle of water.
Susan’s warmth and presence made the experience feel incredibly special, we are so grateful.
