点评：Near Gokarna is the huge Mirjan Fort spread over 4 hectares of land. Very riveting is the manner in which the memory of Rani Chennabhairadevi is tied to this fort. The queen reigned over the Gersoppa kingdom from 1552 to 1606, for over five decades making the fort an inseparable part of her reign. In Karnataka’s historical memory, perhaps Rani Kittur Chennamma is better known for ruling in the early 19th century, directly rebelling against the British East India Company, but Rani Chennabhairadevi was equally brilliant. Historical fort, very popular with the locals. There were several Gen Z's all over taking pics.
