点评：Our group of 12 wanted so explore smaller, family-owned wineries while vacationing just outside Florence. An overcast morning we searched for wineries while enjoying local coffee and came across Azienda’s website. I immediately phoned and asked for a same-day tasting. The family told us to come over as soon as we wanted. We confirmed a noon seating and set out for their farm. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and told to explore the orchard and vineyard while the Mrs. set up the table under the garden canopy. Our group was soon seated as platters of local breads, cheese, meats and olives were set down. The English-speaking (American) son-in-law and the Mrs. welcomed us to their home and began speaking of their wines and olive/olive oils. We selected several wines which began a 90-minute tasting that we collectively didn’t want to end. As we wrapped up our visit, we visited their indoor tasting room and picked out 6 cases of mixed reds and a case of their olive oil to have shipped back to the States.
The wine is absolutely delightful as we continue to enjoy it months after our visit. The olive oil is top-notch as well and we hope they’ll send more to us when we run out.
We’d definitely return when back in Tuscany.
