中国丝绸博物馆的点评
点评：What a superb museum! It's interesting and very well curated in Chinese and English, with only one temporary gallery missing any explanations in English. I had a great wander round on a damp Monday. Particuarly enjoyed the fashion exhibitions and the current temporary exhibition on Asian national dress.
Points to note: it's free. I did not book, indeed I couldn't work out how to despite a recent review saying you had to. Foreign visitors must leave their passport number and a phone number at the security desk at the entrance. It also opens only at midday on Mondays.
I had lunch at the café, which was nice if not especially cheap. There's a great bookshop and giftshop.
I got there by catching the #12 bus from where Hefang St intersects with the street running alongside West Lake. Coming back I got the #42, which runs the same route. (And I got the #7 metro to/from Wushan Sq).
