点评：ved to Liberty Hill, Texas, so we rented a home in Sun City for two months, about 20 minutes away, to see if it was a good fit.
We were really impressed. There are three golf courses, all in outstanding condition. You do have to be a resident or the guest of a resident to play, they're well worth it. There are also several pools and fitness centers. The newest recreation center felt more like a resort than a neighborhood amenity. Grandkids are welcome at the pools during designated hours (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.).
There are countless clubs and activity groups to join, and one of the best surprises was how friendly everyone was. We met a lot of genuinely nice people during our stay. There are rules, and the HOA is not cheap, but we felt the value was excellent for what you receive.
Yes, it's an older community, and things tend to quiet down early—by around 9 p.m. most of the community has settled in for the night. But if you're looking for nightlife, downtown Georgetown is just a short drive away. We found several great bars, including a fun speakeasy that stay open late. Wolf Ranch is also nearby, with plenty of shopping and four or five excellent restaurants.
We enjoyed our time so much that we ended up buying a home in Sun City, and we're looking forward to becoming part of the community and making many new friends.
