点评：Every place you go in Greece they are proud of three things - their olive oil, their homemade wine, and this thing called raki. We will get into the last one

The olive press in Eggares is representative of the small, locally owned places that sustained the people of Naxos. It is a beautiful unspoiled place. The owner grew up here and the beautiful church in the picture is dedicated to Saint Michael - Taxiarchis. Her family's vineyards produce one of the finest white wines on Naxos - possibly the world. As a connoisseur of great new wines, this place was an unexpected treasure. You can spend a little or a lot of time here as their small café serves up excellent items. The have a myriad of olive items from oils to tapenades. It's worth the time to travel here from town. My pictures do not give this place justice.
