Dont get stressed about you need to wear when its NOT ROYAL Ascot .

点评：Visiting Ascot for a race meeting was a wish list which I completed a couple of days ago for the King George Cup meeting .
My biggest stressor was dress code given I am in the UK for a month with carry on only .
There were mixed reports of what was acceptable and how readily it was police d.It would seem that for the 5 consecutive days of ROYAL Ascot the code is much stricter.
I ended up borrowing a suit jacket and decent pair of shoes from a mate in London and left my cap back at my accomodation 20 mins walk away .
I arrived at the course to see a group of lads in shorts and girls in jandals and thought maybe they were in a different area.
I could be wrong but it appears that the ( Queen Anne Enclosure )is the base level and for this day 35 pounds so while approx 85% of people were dressed for the occasion the rest came as they felt comfortable at any other race meeting in the UK .I suspect.
Entry was easy via E ticket with a bag search for anybody bringing in food etc .
No one seemed to be policing what you wore .
Facilities are amasing and the whole complex is huge and grandiose and I suspect even more spectacular on the 4th floor of the grandstand
Very easy to see horses,jockeys pre and post race and lots of screens to watch on if you wished .
Overall a great experience but probably not something I would be likely to do again given the cost but you never know
