点评:A 45minute drive from Bucharest was Snagov Monastery, the island 'burial place' of Vlad Tepes, inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula. We paid to get in, there are two prices, entry and entry where you can take photos, the difference being pennies but it amused me greatly for some reason.
You park a bit away from the island and cross a bridge to the monastery which takes you and go through someones house/farm to get here along with their four dogs, which certainly adds to the experience.
We were fortunate to have a private tour so got a lot of historical information although there is a little bit of written information inside to give you some history. The grounds although small are worth a little stroll around.
Is it worth the 45 minute from Bucharest, well yes if you have a car readily available or have this as part of a tour as we did.
