stunning paintings and Dracula's grave!

点评：Wonderful! if you are into Dracula don't miss it. tThe paintings which cover every centimeter of the small church are gorgeous. I could spend hours looking at each painted saint and historical figures. I was really amazed at the beauty.
a caretaker was mowing the lawn when we arrived, we were the only ones on the island. He was very friendly and gentle and he kindly stopped working to let us in.
we paid 30 lei plus 10 lei to take photos, very small cost. The caretaker was nice and wrote the numbers down for us and also we could buy some candles, incense etc there. There is even information about the monastery and Vlad Tepes in English posted to a board.
This is a Holy Church so make sure to act with respect there. There are Orthodox church etiquette guides online if that is not your religion or experience.
4 cute dogs greeted us as we arrived over the pedestrian bridge. They are friendly. if I go again I will bring some dog food or treats to give them.
so peaceful and relaxing island as well. You can walk down to a little dock on Lake Snagov and see birds and feel the breeze in the trees.
