阿拉斯加火车站的点评
点评：We took the train's 12:30 pm Gold Star Service (their glass dome car) from Denali to Anchorage which included lunch and dinner. The train left on time and the scenery was amazing.
Our experience quickly went downhill from there. The train slowed to 8 mph for a prolonged stretch with no explanation provided. The food was mediocre at best. We pulled over on sidings several times and sat waiting for other trains to pass or crew changes. We finally arrived in Anchorage almost three hours late. Then we sat for a prolonged period waiting to unload with no explanation offered. When we were finally allowed to exit the train baggage claim was slow and chaotic. We didn't make it to our Anchorage hotel until after midnight.
Alaska is an amazing place but Alaska Railroad was definitely the lowlight of our two week trip.
