点评：Apart from being ‘the Magna Carta place’ I had no idea what we were going to. It is an open area of land next to the River Thames. A large field area serves as the car park. There is a cafe and toilets. There is also Paddle Steamer boat trips down the river.
There are several walking routes to view sculpture and memorials in the grassland. It is worth finding out about the history relating to each of the bronze juror’s chairs as you look at them. We did the 1.5 mile walk with a short uphill part which gave us stunning views over to London. You could see the Wembley Arch, Heathrow, The Shard and Canary Wharf all in one vista, with planes popping up every couple of minutes and then banking and heading off with some flying right over you.
I believe there are other parts of the site with playgrounds and gardens but we didn’t go to those. If using sat nav for this area type in Magna Carta Tea rooms.
