A Staple During Your Visit to the Lake District

点评：During our visit to the lakes, my friends and I drove to Cockermouth to see Wordsworth House, a wonderful place of rich history. As a member of the National Trust this was high up on my bucket list to go to.
As a National Trust site, there are many ways of learning about the history of such places through interactive means. While walking through the house, immersing yourself through the ages, you are able to pick up some treasures and replicas that would’ve been common back then. This means that it is great for all ages, to learn the unique history of the house and the family.
I love to take pictures, and at the house, there are some lovely spots where you can take photos of all sorts: portraits, rooms and the garden. In particular, the garden was one of the areas of the house that stood out to me. With some great views of the River Derwent, you can really see why this house was placed here at the time.
Overall, this place is a must during your time to the Lake District. You certainly can’t get everything done whilst there, but if you like your literature and history, definitely come here!
