Interesting info, fantastic guide
Lepramuseet St. Jorgens Hospital - Bymuseet I Bergen的点评
点评:We did the guided tour of the museum with Amelia at 11:30am. We thought that she had been a guide for least a year, but she told us it was only 4 weeks and we were gobsmacked! She is so knowledgeable, a great storyteller, personable, and one of the best tour guides we’ve had in Norway.
The reason we only gave it 4 stars was because we wanted some more up-to-date info on leprosy. Example: Statistics on cases per year, any latest outbreaks, more on the antibiotic, etc.
Also, pics or examples of the wares sold by patients and more info on the idiosyncrasies of dealing with the disease in that time period. (We didn’t think of this until after we left.) For example, at the stave church we visited, they had a door for leprosy patients to be blessed. Although they had their own church it would have been interesting to hear things like this.
