Beautiful early morning walk along the coast then uphill for amazing views
Garoupe Lighthouse (Phare de la Garoupe)的点评
点评：Was very hot end of June so we set off when it was cooler at 6am for this awsome coastal walk to Garoupe lighthouse. Starting at Place Albert 1er, strolled the promenade walk past Plage du Ponteil and to the end of Plage Salis (approx 10 mins). Look out for a road crossing that has a signpost to La Garoupe on the other side of the road. There's a side path/alleyway running up from here.
This path is stony and has steps so best done in walking or tennis shoes (not suitable for flipflops). It also has some lovely woods running alongside it if you have time for that. There is a tarmac road you can walk/drive up, but we enjoyed the stony path Amazing views across bay of Antibes and Cannes and the mountains - we sat on a bench to take it all in before heading down again (lighthouse not open yet).
Tips: planned ahead and wore swimwear under clothes for an early morning swim in the sea when we came down. There a green painted water fountain on the prom near the crossing so you can fill up your water bottle. Think this would be a great evening walk too to catch the sky turning pink.
