Hidden gem in the gardens

点评：We visited on an impulse when spending a couple of hours in the town to break up a long journey. It was a good decision. The location was fantastic.
Firstly, we didn’t go into the chateau building. Just the gardens which cost 3 euros per adult. Our 18 month old daughter was free.
We parked at the Parking Cipiere which was a free, clean and spacious place within a few minutes easy walk of the town centre (and chateau).
The chateau is easy to find, being one side of the small market place. The gardens are behind the building so you have to pay, enter and walk up the short front and through a passage to access. We had a pushchair and all of this was easily achieved. There were no accessibility issues.
The gardens are stunning. Beautifully laid out and maintained. They are tranquil and were an ideal place for our young daughter to stretch her legs in safety.
The gardens have got benches and places you can eat a picnic. We didn’t see a cafe (but didn’t enter the building because understandably it isn’t accessible for a pram) but there are toilets which were clean, and a water machine.
We can’t fault the place. Staff were friendly and we had a great time. It isn’t a place that will take you all day to see - we were probably there for up to 2 hours. But well worth it.
