Rather busy on a Christmas Day

点评：With my wife recently dying in hospital, my daughter and I could not bear the thought of spending Christmas Day at home. We were surprised at how many visitors were at the zoo on that day. The place was packed.
The free bus tours around the zoo were extremely popular, but we managed to board a bus at just the right time. At the end of the tour, the bus queue had grown quite a bit. The bus driver was helpful, and well-informed.
The cafes in the zoo were extremely busy, and expensive. Having an almost captive audience means that the cafes can charge whatever they like. That was the only drawback to the day.
This was our first visit for many years, but we have no idea when we will return. Time will tell. Now that the elephants have moved into this zoo, we might visit again to see them.
