Bishop's Palace and Earl's Palace的点评
点评：The Bishop's Palace and the Earl's Palace are in ruins, but you can still go inside. When I visited, the attendant in the ticket office had to attend to other business so he posted a sign saying to see the buildings and pay upon leaving. There was no one to check tickets so I was able to walk right in to both buildings. I did pay when I finished my visit.
The Bishop's Palace was built in the mid-1100s, at the same time as St. Magnus Cathedral. It is across the street from the ticket office. You climb a flight of stairs for a lovely view of the interior.
The Earl's Palace was built between 1601 and 1606. There is more to see here on two levels. The Great Hall was its main public room. Information signs tell you about each of the rooms.
There was scaffolding at the time of my visit. It made it difficult to get some of the photos. But safety and preservation have to come first.
