点评：An excellent visit here on 29.11.
It was a calm, clear, cold, 2c day.
Lovely staff throughout the whole time there.
Great visitor's shop, picked up a few, lovely momentous from our visit.
Really interesting place, full of history.
Use the audio guide, provided, for more information.
Fantastic views over the Moray Firth, on the 29th, the Firth was calm and peaceful. Wonderful views in the distance of the snow capped Caithness and Sutherland mountains.
We stopped for lunch in the cafe, see separate review, excellent refreshments.
Lentil soup and fresh bread, butter and a good selection of cakes. The highlight of the visit was the museum, which was so interesting, packed with memorabilia and the biggest collection of medals I have ever seen. The curator was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, offering us information that we had not even thought about. I wish we could have stayed longer !
There are a selection of things for children to do there too, colouring , games to play, jigsaws etc.
I thoroughly recommend this attraction.
