Jenna’s Garnet Collection Stand at Petroglyphs and other Wrangell Treasures

点评：First, let me state that the walk to Petroglyphs is approx 1/2 mile from downtown. We were offered an unsolicited ride by a charming local, Anne, who moved here from Memphis 32 years ago. The ride was too short and the conversation too brief, but Ann was just one of a dozen friendly denizens who made Wrangell a wonderful place to stop.
I wanted to give a special shout-out to one young lady, Jenna, who has a stand by the Petroglyphs. She was displaying local rocks with garnets and various items that she and her brother have discovered. She was well-mannered, engaging and a friendly host to my wife and I and entertained our questions. If Jenna and her brother have their stand open, I highly recommend saying hello to this duo of aspiring young entrepreneurs. I can say without hesitation, my purchase of one of Jenna’s garnet-encrusted treasures was the best $20 I spent on this year’s vacation.
Thank you Anne, Jenna and the myriad of friendly folks who spent time talking with us about Wrangell or just waved to us as they were driving by. Wrangell is home to many lovely people and we cannot wait to return.
