点评:This is not a large aquarium but what they have is first rate. It was very informative about the marine life of Alaska and their habitats. My favorite part was the seabird exhibit which was a separate room with a large pond and rock formations with both tufted puffins and horned puffins and other kinds of sea birds. There was no barrier between the visitors and the pond so you could get some great photos of the birds. There were staff members stationed in the room to keep people from touching or disturbing the birds. I just loved being so close to the puffins. Other wildlife we saw included: sea stars, king crabs, halibut, salmon, a Pacific octopus, sea otters, harbor seals, Stellar sea lions, and many other kinds of fish and marine creatures. There was an outdoor observation deck on the second floor with a view of Resurrection Bay. We saw staff members doing some feedings. There was an exhibit about the center’s response team and rehabilitation program for stranded sea animals. We spent an hour and a half here. They had a large gift shop and restrooms on both floors. They have some behind-the-scenes tours for an extra fee but we didn’t do any of those.
