地狱火博物馆的点评
点评：We visited hellfire pass in Jan 2025.
We took a train at 6am in the morning from Kanchanaburi to NamTok. Once we reached NamTok had a coffee and took a bus to HellFire Pass. Bus stop is opposite to the Police Station next to 7 Eleven store. Bus no is 8203. Wave your arms to flag it down. Let the driver know you want to get down at HellFIre Pass and he will inform you once you reach the entrance. On the entrance, staff is kind enough to explain everything. And the bus stop for returning to Kanchanaburi (or NamTok) is on opposite of the entrance.
We had a good time at the HellFire Pass. Its completely free and they provide you with an audio recorder which narrates the experiences and gives you more information about the point of interest.
Place is very well maintained and you can buy foods or water at the entrance.
This place glimpse about the horrendous conditions prisoners of the war had to endure at the hands of Japanese soldiers.
Whole trail is about 5kms and can be finished within three hours. You can observe lots of interesting things such as broken tools and damaged parts of the structure.
One should visit this place early so its easy to track the whole way and the last bus is around 4PM so I will recommend to exit before 3 PM so you have enough time to reach Kanachanaburi by bus.
Public transportation per person:
Kanchanaburi to NamTok train : 100 B
NamTok to HellFire Pass: 30 B (AC bus) around 9.15 AM (Bus No 8203. Red color bus)
HellFire Pass to Kanchanaburi: 60 B (Non AC) We left around 3.15 PM (Bus No 8203)
