点评:As part of my recent golf trip to Thailand, ANZAC Day, was the focus of the trip. We were picked up at 3am by our driver for the hours drive. Having done some research, we needed to be there as close as possible to 4am so we could get a good view of the service. Amy later and they turn you away to watch it on the big screen in the car park. The five of us are all retired servicemen and we got there in time, finding an excellent spot.
The stairs leading down to the cutting are well kept, carts were put on for those with difficulty. When walking through the cutting, you feel not only the heat and humidity, you feel as though you are not alone. Can't fathom what it was like back in the War working 18 hour days.
The service was good, although not great only on a procedural note that we picked up. The young soldiers from the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment however, did a fantastic job.
Hellfire Pass should be on anyone's bucket list who have served, along with Gallipoli and France.
