Third time here - still doesn’t disappoint - although the road down is stressful

点评：This is a lovely wide and safe beach with loads of parking and a generally nice vibe, frequented by lots of surfers, families, swimmers and people walking the coast paths. There is RNLI cover in the summer although they do warn of dangerous currents so pay good attention to their flags. At the height of summer there are a handful of food vans - coffee/cake, ice-cream and pizza - and picnic tables to sit at. Plenty of waste bins provided so the area is nice and clean. We paid £8 to park all day in September which I think is fine, although if you just want to pop in for an hour or two then this may feel a bit expensive. It’s just a flat rate. People moan about the toilets and yes they are quite basic (old building, no hot water, no baby changing area etc) but they were clean and well stocked with handwash, toilet roll, bins etc and I think they are ok for beach toilets. Overall it’s lovely and I’d happily return although the road down there is long and very narrow and can be a total nightmare if you meet other vehicles and/or if people drive badly and cause log jams. If you have a small car then your life will be easier.
