点评:The museum is an easy 10 minute walk from the Dimotiko Theater metro station. It opens at 8:30 and the cost was only two euros at the time of my visit (December 2024). The gruff cashier would only accept cash. I was asked to stow my bag in an unlocked bin near the entrance so if you have any valuables you may consider taking them with you.
It is a small museum comprising two floors and an archaeological site. The first floor contains a number of grave monuments and some impressive monumental statues. A highlight is the Theater of Zea excavation. The second floor contains several bronze statues, more funerary monuments, and pottery. All displays were well labeled in Greek and English.
I was alone except for one other visitor and a couple of school groups. I was done in about an hour. A nice activity if you are in the area.
