History in a wonderful setting
Tintern Abbey的点评
点评：Visited the Abbey and Walled garden as part of my trip to retrace the steps of my ancestors who had lived in nearby Saltmills. What a fabulous experience! The Abbey is set in the most beautiful valley and woodland and gives a fantastic sense of the history of the area. The walled garden, with its stream running through it was delightful. It’s only a pity that we could not have tea there on that particular day. That would have been lovely on the sunny day we had there.
We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly and in particular, Alan, who went above and beyond his role to help me in my research on my great grandparents and their service at Tintern House. His knowledge and enthusiasm is second to none and I was impressed by his willingness to engage in my search.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our day here.
