点评:This was our second time visiting. Open since 1933, this is the oldest public conservatory in Cincinnati. We were intrigued and excited to see their 2026 Spring Show, which they called Moonlight Menagerie. It was meant to help visitors discover facts about bioluminescence, luminous critters, and flowers that bloom at night, but the conservatory closed at 8 PM. The sun set just 20 minutes before closing time, and it was a waning gibbous moon phase on top of that, so there was no moonlight for us to see the exhibit as intended.
The exhibit ran from January 17 until April 19, 2026. We paid an admission fee of $10 each, and parking was FREE. We greatly enjoyed the bonsai collection, the Orchid House, the Wishing Pond, the Crown of Thorns (the oldest plant in Krohn), the Wooly Torch, the Golden Barrel Cactus, the waterfall, the Ram's Horn Croton, the Golden Trumpet, the Pink Quill, and all of the specially illuminated nocturnal creatures on display for the exhibit. There was a bench inside where we sat and just enjoyed our time together, relaxing while watching and listening to the waterfall.
