点评：This tour is for you! I recently had the wonderful opportunity to not only tour this beautiful house, but to take the Outlander walking tour around Wilmington. This is one of the best history tours I have ever done. And I like to take solo history trips, so I have been on a lot.
The staff here really went above and beyond and made my visit to Wilmington so special. I am very grateful. They also recommended that I visit Moore’s Creek Battlefield, which was also amazing.
Wilmington is so beautiful and interesting. There are historical markers on every block it seems. The old historic houses, brick streets, views of the water, it is all absolutely picturesque. It is right up there with Savannah and Charleston for its charm. I got to experience much of it on the tour.
I listened to several of the podcast episodes of Outlander in Cape Fear before my trip just in preparation. And that was before I even knew I would get to take this tour. I highly recommend it too. The episode on American identity compares the experience of people in various colonies and how different they were and was great context.
I 100% recommend the house tour as well. Beautiful furnishings! It was interesting to hear about someone who made good with both the British and Revolutionaries and it worked out for him.
