点评:This community in northern New Mexico. was quite the experience for my fiancé and I. He especially enjoyed learning about "White Elk" or at the Pueblo they call him "Luis Tupatu". My most enjoyable moment of the guided tour was when the tour guide took us up around the round house and inside some of the historical buildings such as the San Lorenzo Mission and the long adobe house. The tour guild also told us the story about Star mountain on the east side of the village. The tribal members that live in the pueblo were very nice and welcoming and waved to us as we passed by there houses. We were also with a group of people who came from Hawaii. The tour guide took us up to the ancestral petroglyph's on the west side of the village. The tour guide was the kindest person he was born and raised in the pueblo. He even invited us to come and experience San Lorenzo feast in Picuris on August 10. I will be back manny more times this has been the most enjoyable tour i have been on. I wondered into the community on my way to Taos me and my fiance were not expecting such a well organized tour. When we were there they offered us free Pies, Cookies, and oven bread. After the experience here in Picuris i have decided not to go to Taos pueblo anymore i would defiantly recommend Picuris pueblo.
