点评：Went to Cape San Blas FL. Stayed during the 4th of July 2024. 1st visit, won’t be a second. We stayed near the Smokehouse restaurant. Many things to say that I wished we’d known. The water clarity isn’t good at all. Our best day we had about 2ft visibility on the ocean side. Lasted about 3 hours. Very brown water most days, some white sand where the vehicles drive. Constant vehicle traffic on the beach so much we had to actually had to look both ways before walking on the beach. Bugs, bugs and then some more bugs. Take Benadryl and topical ointment with you. About our beach area and boardwalk on the 4th, people were being eat up just going down to the local fireworks. Several miles to a sizable grocery store, Piggly wiggly and a dollar general market. On the cape there was one we went to mid week but they ran out of milk and it was busy. All grocery places were very busy. Dollar general was our go to for convenience. About a 20 minute drive from our place. Lights out when it’s dark but didn’t influence us. Cannot comment on bayside fishing, we stayed with ocean side. Caught lots of hard headed catfish and a small hammerhead on pompano rigs. First night with bacon on the hooks. Went to Hunts on the bay several times for food and bait, great place and reasonable prices. Great service and knowledgeable staff. Wish our experience would have been better, we’ve stayed all over florida on both sides. Wanted to like it because our friends gave it good reviews but just doesn’t work for us.
