点评:Not quite sure why the average mark is a 3.5 as despite it being a relatively short experience I found this over 700 year old building very appealing.
The highlight is clearly the main hall, there are a few other rooms in the build up which have minimal information and laid out more for an event reception than as a museum. There is a mix of very polished clean areas and areas clearly dating back many centuries which have character which offer a nice comparison.
When you get to the to the entrance to the main hall it opens out impressively and you can picture a large banquet here under the high wooden vaulted ceilings, encased in the solid rock walls with guests coming in from the port just next door.
Despite the negativity in a lot of reviews I would recommend visiting here without hesitation, when we went (July 2024) we got tickets for here and the tower for 85nok each (around £7.00) a bargain in a pretty expensive city.
