点评：I saw the captains a$$crack more times than I saw a whale on this tour. In fact, the captain made sure to rub it in our faces that it was his first time never seeing a whale out on the water. This was not only after he reversed into another tour companies boat without apology and after watching YouTube on his phone instead of paying attention to navigating the boat. Multiple times the captain took his eyes off the water and was looking down on his phone. Once he even walked completely away from the wheel with the boat in drive. After asking other boats that went out at the exact same time it became evident that they had seen whales and we did not. Probably because they were directed by proper communicators that weren’t flirting with young passengers. The captain did not bother to offer any informative knowledge while the tour was happening to make up for the lack of whale sightings. And the worst part is hard to believe. The captian smelt so bad of body odor that every time he stood up in the wind the people three rows behind him were gagging. Roxanne was very knowledgeable and warned us that it is possible we might not see a whale, however, with the captains behavior made the tour extremely disappointing and I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have had multiple positive experiences with the whale company out of Lajes and wished that this experience would be similar considering some of my guests were new to Pico island. Not to mention, this company did not even announce where to find the lifejackets if necessary. After expressing our complaints to the company and photo proof of the captain on his phone, any sort of compensation was not even offered. Meanwhile this tour cost my family $500. Don’t waste your money on unprofessionalism.
