Good but beware free admission sign
Sweetheart Abbey的点评
点评：The Abbey and adjoining cemetery are good places to visit and relatively peaceful. The Abbey itself is massively spoiled by metal fencing everywhere. Apparently unchanged for years. What is happening ? However here’s the worst part. The entrance clearly states
Admission Free. Donations welcomed.
But on entering the size one is immediately engaged by personnel swooping in like salesmen in a car showroom informing you that a £2.50 donation is the norm ( read required ). Although I have no issue at all with paying to visit the site , it is misleading and deceitful on enter to be informed that it is not actually ftee at all, unless one doesn’t cough up or walks out with embarrassment. Suppose you had no cash or card on your person.
Summary.
Get rid of the deceitful free admission sign and introduce payed entry, thus depending with the necessity of staff aggressively hounding you for ‚donations‘
