New Mexico State Capitol (Roundhouse)的点评
点评：First, let me say that I did not enter the building and that this review is SOLELY a review of grounds. That being said, the capitol and surrounding grounds were very disappointing for me. Having visited around 30 state capitols, most, if not all, are very well-maintained and offer visitors a chance to learn about the state's history and famous residents. Many have memorials or statues to fallen soldiers from that state or service members that have died in the line of duty.
The New Mexico capitol comes up well short of all the others in that area. There were very few statues on the grounds, no monuments/memorials that I could find, nothing about the state's past, and the grounds themselves were poorly maintained. Concrete sidewalks were deteriorating, bushes/trees were overgrown, and the few statues/art exhibits there were are very weathered and in poor shape.
Perhaps the artwork inside makes up for the poor appearance on the outside, I can't say.
