点评:We went to Bletchley Park as a family and honestly had such a great day. It was absolutely chucking it down the whole time but somehow that didn’t matter at all. there’s loads to do and see inside so we barely noticed we were soaked 😅
I was surprised how much there is to learn there. You kind of know Bletchley Park was important in WW2 but being there and seeing it all properly, it really hit me how huge the work was and how many lives it probably saved. We also watched the little film they show (I won’t spoil it) and it actually made me a bit sentimental?? Didn’t expect that.
But the biggest highlight by far was our tour with Andy. He was so engaging and funny and just made everything feel really alive. He explained stuff in a way that made sense even to those of us who aren’t exactly codebreaking experts 😂 I still can’t get over the fact he does it all as a volunteer. he doesn’t have to be that passionate, but he really was, and it made the whole thing feel really special. We were still talking about him afterwards!!
The cafe was also really nice, warm drinks and food and a really lovely spot to warm up and take a break from the rain.
All in all, brilliant place to visit. Would 100% recommend (and i hope you can have Andy as your tour guide)!
