A particularly fascinating aspect of our visit was learning about the involvement of actress Mary Tyler Moore, a descendant of the original homeowner, Lieutenant Colonel Lewis T. Moore. She generously contributed to the restoration of the home, including the recreation of the elegant gilt wallpaper in Jackson's office, based on remnants found during renovations.
