Archaeological Museum of Marathon的点评
点评：3/5 is for the entire experience and, in fairness, not for solely the museum.
We had taken the bus to Nea Makri this morning and, en route, found out that the tourist attractions close at 3-3:30. We took a taxi to the archaeological museum as it's a fair way out of town. It was cheap enough at €5 each for admission but was hardly a spectacular attraction given that we'd been in the Athens museum only the day before. We made the entire visit last, maybe, 30 minutes or so.
With a break in service, the 130 bus service to take us back to Mati was nearly a 2 hour wait, with a 30-40 minute walk to the main road to get the bus. We decided on a taxi/Uber back to our hotel- only six miles away.
We could not get a taxi or Uber for love nor money. Nobody available and then Uber canceled on us after ringing to confirm our destination- and was probably not impressed he'd have to go SO far.
So was it worth the visit? Not really, but this was only because of the ridiculous transport situation. If you have a car and are looking for something to do, I wouldn't stop you but, you're not missing much if you don't go. Popping in to this same museum at a central location and I would give it 4/5 as worth going to say you've been. Note it's next to some genuine tombs which dictates it's unusual location, I guess. Fair enough.
