Valens Conservation Area的点评
点评：I chose this campground for an overnight camping getaway. I was in the Tamarack campground. The site itself was fine, big and screened from the adjacent sites by trees. I purchased wood but there was no kindling available to buy (I forgot my hatchet). Flush toilet cubicles were close to the site with an outside sink to wash hands, but showering facilities were few and far between.
My issue with the experience was the incredible volume of noise around me. Dogs barking all night, and what sounded like a wood chipper running on and off a few sites over early evening and morning. The group beside me started a loud conversation around midnight about whether they should order takeout, and it lasted until close to 1:30 when I loudly asked them to pack it in (they did).
The campground is very clean and well maintained. There are some nice trail walks and places to fish. Canoe rentals are available. The public beach was very busy both Friday and Saturday with families there for the day. I think it's a great place if you don't mind noise and have kids and pets! It wasn't my ideal experience.
